We have a variety of products including our own Primer OS. It’s solvent based penetrating epoxy primer that exhibits excellent characteristics for coating over oil -soaked concrete.

Primer OS is recommended for petroleum oil contamination only. This product has been developed to block oil ‘bleed back’ from oil-soaked concrete substrates and provide a primed surface for subsequent epoxy or polyurethane coating systems. Some features of the Primer OS include:

  • Barrier against oil
  • Stops oil “bleed back”
  • Compatible with a wide range of coating systems
  • Can be top-coated same day
  • Resists petroleum-based oil
  • Chemical resistant

We’ll examine the substrate, which must be structurally sound. We’ll remove loose or unsound concrete. We’ll also make sure that surfaces are entirely free of oil, grease, paint, corrosion deposits, dust, laitance, or other surface deposits. We’ll fill-in any cracks or pockmarks with over CoverBond PF160, before applying Primer OS. When we come out for a consultation, we can discuss the application process, and the estimated length of time the entire project will take to complete.
