Wood Look Tile Sealer

Wood Look Tile (porcelain or ceramic) flooring has become very popular over the last few years, providing a more durable alternative to conventional wood or laminate flooring. Sometimes however, the wood look tile finish can be a little dull and faded. You may want to use wetlook sealer to bring out the color of the tile and the grout. You can seal wood look tile (ceramic or porcelain) flooring with Glaze Guard®. This will give both the tile and grout a wet look finish just like when you first wet mop the tile; only the wet look is permanent. Below are examples of the different sheen levels you can achieve with Glaze Guard®. Namely Gloss, Matte and Satin. We like the Satin, but a lot of our customers are loving the gloss!

Before application it is important to be fussy about cleaning the tile. This product is designed to last up to 5 years. So you want to make sure any dirt, hair or grime is cleaned off. Otherwise it could effect the sealer adhesion, or the grime could be locked down for a long time! Glaze Guard® can be applied by a short nap roller in a single coat. You can use a brush for the edges. It takes about 12 hours for the product to dry before you can walk on it. Sealing your wood tile floor not only makes the color “pop” but it makes it easy to clean and protects the grout from staining and soiling.
